Christmas
Pupils have been busy this month getting ready for Christmas making crafts in Art lessons and enjoying the festivities. Early Years enjoyed a trip to the cinema to watch the Cbeebies pantomime and pupils in main school travelled to the Lichfield Garrick theatre to watch the annual pantomime. This year it was Cinderella. Mr Draper met the not so lovely ‘baddies’ (otherwise known as the ugly sisters) and Mrs Crosby tried on the slipper but was unlucky and did not marry the prince! There have been Christmas dodgeball events in sports and Andi Markham made his usual trip with ‘Jack’ and ‘Grandad’ to talk about the importance of the Christmas Story and the birth of Jesus. Pupils enjoyed their Christmas parties during our last week and a Christmas Movie Night. We ended the term with our Christmas Carols Concert. Thank you to Mrs Gerighty for her hard work in teaching the pupils to perform so beautifully and thank you to Reverend Emma Holton from St Peter’s Church for once again visiting us and giving a thoughtful address and prayer.
Lower III Enterprise
Lower III have been working hard this term in their enterprise teams. They researched and produce their products, pitching their ideas to Mr Draper. They agreed on a budget and worked together to make the products and their advertising posters. Products proved popular with pupils and parents, selling well after school in the courtyard. Lower III will count their profits and the winning team will be ‘hired’. They will get another chance to refine and change their products to try selling again before Easter. Well done Lower III and to Mrs Hawthorne, Mrs Crosby and Mrs Pittaway for their support.
